I have this card from my school, I got it as a Freshman and only used it that first year, then junior year I needed the funds quickly, the deposit on the card is faster on the money network card than the direct deposit so I chose that option, not knowing it'd be the worst decision of my life. My card was lost/stolen and I promptly informed my school and cancelled it and got a new one, however I saw very large charges taken out of my account about $1,997 stolen, being used in Brooklyn, New York, I live in Atlanta.

I have proof it was not me as I was in class at the time of the charges and work right after, in Atlanta, all day. I disputed the charges and they gave me my money and the rep (who wouldn't give me her name) said that I was all good to go, the money was mine and free to use. Great for me, I tried to go ahead and start withdrawing that money, I'd rather it be in a safer account (Wells Fargo) but their deposit feature on the website to transfer to other accounts was not working (of course.) So instead I had to withdraw from the ATM at my school that was thankfully MoneyNetwork enabled. However after I withdrew about $900, over the course of a few days the ATM told me to contact my financial institution, contacted and found out I had a buffer period and unable to withdraw anymore due to the past fraudulent behavior.

This was a problem because I had to pay rent. Taking money out is hard but adding it back in is no problem (go figure) so I had to put all the money back on the card and pay my rent. Lo and behold the day rent is due and I process the payment online, MoneyNetwork decides they want my money back and pull out the full 1,997 leaving me in a negative and my rent late. So now I'm calling everyday trying to get answered, I'm only getting told my dispute was denied with no explanation, no one has any notes, no one has anything to give me any answers.

I have to submit an appeal which I do immediately (April 10th) but they say they don't get it till a day later. I'm being told I'm supposed to get notice 3 days later but I've NEVER received anything from them ever. No mail, email, nothing and my address is confirmed numerous times. I'm a college student now facing eviction because my rent is beyond past due.

I hate MoneyNetwork and their customer service is lax, I wish I never used them in the first place.

I tried to see if they could just put it back temporarily so I could at least pay rent and they said no. I just want something to be done so I can at least pay rent.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $1997.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Money Network Cons: Money stolen from my account, Customer service avoiding the problem, Lack of customer service no supervisor available.
